I am a Virtualization and Cloud technologies specialists with more than 14 years of experience. I have a good knowledge of VMware and AWS IaaS technologies, and a vast experience with Operating Systems.

I love to find ways in optimizing and automating the work, ensuring that the processes are always optimized.

I also have a love for side gigs as a freelancer, which has allowed me in development more skills than my main career usually allows. I love structure and I have developed a big interest in written arts, taking a big interest in Storytelling specifically.

SENIOR CONSULTING ARCHITECT | 2021 TO DATE

I`m currently working as a Senior Architect Consultant at Nutanix specializing in Calm and Cloud computing.

I Conduct workshops to our customers to present products like Calm, Files, Flow and AHV Hypervisor and work with Nutanix customers to understand their commercial objectives and build focused cloud automation and orchestration solutions.

I also work in the design of service catalogs for self-service provisioning (SSP) using the Nutanix Calm Automation and Orchestration platform for provisioning and administering applications.

I work and collaborate with an International SCRUM team with members from all Latin America and the United States, using DevOps tools like Jira, GitHub, Jenkins and participate as a pre-sales to provide services to the existing sales motion as a SME

VIRTUALIZATION AND AUTOMATION SPECIALIST | 2020 TO 2021

I worked in one of the biggest companies in Mexico, as a Virtualization and Automation specialist.

At this point, I.m leading the initiative for automating the reporting, monitoring and automation of the administration and configuration of the gigantic Santander infrastructure.

I´m also taking a more structured approach, using GTD/SCRUM methods to deliver my projects in time.

MEXICO SERVERS MANAGER | 2014 – 2020

For 6 years I worked as the Mexico based Servers Manager in SSA Mexico to work alongside the Tideworks Seattle based team. I created and leaded a team of 4 Servers engineers to fulfill the very demanding port operation in the Carrix corporative.

We worked on migrations and administration projects in AWS using Cloudfront.

Deployed and maintained Flexpod technologies, which included Cisco, Netapp and VMware components.

I helped with the automation on vSphere deployments and migrations with tools like PowerCLI, and the automation of OS deployments with Ansible.

We managed the patching cycle using SCCM for Windows Systems and Spacewalk for Linux Systems and deployed new environments in the different por terminals.

Managed monitoring using Solarwinds Orion ensuring that the alerts were correctly configured for all the teams in the organization.

Helped in the hardening of Linux systems using HIDS for detecting unwanted risks.

Ensure that my team used the ITIL methodology swiftly, so upper management knew exactly how work and projects were being completed.

Took Project Management training using the PMI and SCRUM methodologies and ensured to lead IT projects using such methodologies.

DATACENTER ARCHITECT | 2012 – 2014

When I worked in Sonda Mexico, I was the Data Center, Cloud and Virtualization Architect, in charge of the design, implementation and management of computing environments for different costumers.

I Acted as a high presales engineer, offering and presenting Demos and POC to senior management in various corporations with the aim of raising awareness of the technology offered by the company, promoting our vendors and achieve better business deals for the benefit of both, Sonda and my Costumers in question, Making deals with vendors to negotiate the best possible price, according to the needs of our customers.

I also designed, presented and implemented diverse environments such as: Vmware vSphere, VMware Horizon View ( VDI and View Before ), Cisco, HP, IBM, Red Hat Linux, SUSE and Windows

KLOUD ADMINISTRATOR | 2010 – 2012

Kio Networks is one of the most important Datacenter hosting companies in Latin America, and I was really proud working with them. During my time there, I was the Specialist in Cloud and virtualization technologies, in charge for the design, implementation and management of virtualized environments within the various facilities of Kio Networks (Mexico , Queretaro, Panama ), as well as in charge of ensuring that an excellent service is provided to the various costumers of the Organization.

I Administrated and monitored the virtual environment for Kloud Services using BMC Tools, and the Vmware native tools using Remedy to manage INCs, RQS and CRs with the ITIL methodology.

My boss there also gave me the opportunity in promoting and implementing new technologies to ensure stable and better operation, and improve the processes of the Cloud Services to provide greater security and speed the delivery of virtual machines.

Lastly, I designed, demonstrated, deployed and managed environments :- Vmware vSphere, Vmware View, Netapp, Veeam, Cisco, IBM Hardware, Red Hat Linux and Windows OS administration.

VMWARE CONSULTANT | 2008 – 2010

My first job after finishing the College was also the first time I heard about Virtualization and Cloud Computing terms, and fell in love with them.

I was in charge of the design, implementation and management of VMware based environments for different costumers.

Since this was a small (But very successful) company, I also did quite a lot of presales and post sales work, offering and presenting Demos and POC to senior management in various corporations and designed, presented and implemented diverse environments such as: VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon View ( VDI and View Before ) on different hardware, eventually learning about convergence infrastructure.
